Schedule for 2020-21
All of our meetings are free and open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, our meetings and events are held at Fort Mason (building C) in San Francisco from 1 to 5 p.m.
January 26, 2020: Winter meeting. Judith Schallberger will be our featured reader. Maggie Chula will give a presentation on haibun.
April 26, 2020: Spring meeting at Fort Mason. J Hahn Doleman will be our featured reader, and Michael Sheffield will give a presentation on symbolism in haiku.
July 26, 2020: Summer meeting. Note the location for this meeting will be at Project Artaud (401 Alabama Street @17th, Space 321). Bruce Feingold will be our featured reader, and Phillip Kennedy will give a presentation on Kigo and Traditional Japanese Seasonal Perceptions.
August 23, 2020: The 31st annual Two Autumns reading will be held at 868 Kearny Street in the North Beach district of San Francisco. The featured readers will be David LeCount, Patricia J. Machmiller, Crystal Simone Smith (visiting from North Carolina), and John Stevenson (from New York). Sharon Pretti will edit the commemorative chapbook and will also serve as emcee for the event. Mark your calendars for this, our biggest event of the year!
October 25, 2020: Fall meeting at Fort Mason. Renee Owen will be our featured reader, and Garry Gay will lead a rengay-writing workshop. Come prepared to write!
January 24, 2021: Winter meeting at Fort Mason. Featured reader tbd. Susan Antolin will give a presentation on editing.
